Code of Conduct
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, South Salem Little League maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of misconduct or abuse—mental, physical, emotional, or sexual—between players, coaches, parents/guardians/caretakers, spectators, volunteers, or any other individuals involved. All participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of respect, safety, and sportsmanship at all times.
Parent Code of Conduct
Please follow these guidelines at games, practices, and all Little League events:
- Cheer Positively: Encourage all players, and keep the cheers supportive and kind.
- Respect Coaches and Officials: Let coaches coach and officials make the calls. Respect their decisions.
- Be a Good Sport: Set a great example for the kids by showing sportsmanship, whether we win or lose.
- Keep It Family-Friendly: Please avoid offensive language or behavior. Let’s keep the games fun for all ages!
- Follow Requests from Coaches and Umpires: Coaches and umpires have the authority to address any inappropriate behavior and may ask individuals to leave if necessary.
By participating in South Salem Little League, parents and guardians also agree to hold their players accountable to the Player Code of Conduct outlined below.
Player Code of Conduct
Please follow these guidelines at games, practices, and all Little League events:
- Play Fair: Always play by the rules and show respect for the game.
- Respect Others: Treat teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials with kindness and respect.
- Give Your Best Effort: Hustle, work hard, and maintain a positive attitude, whether winning or losing.
- Show Good Sportsmanship: Celebrate victories with humility and handle losses with grace.
- Be a Team Player: Support and encourage teammates, and put team goals ahead of individual accomplishments.
